As Chief Technology Officer, David Blake is responsible for the strategy, execution, and oversight of Tyto Athene’s technology solutions organization in support of meeting client needs. David has over 28 years of experience as a results-oriented leader capable of empowering diverse organizations to manage large-scale, multi-vendor, high-value programs that e-enable business processes, transform networks and enable operations excellence.
Prior to joining Tyto Athene, David served as the Client Executive Director in the AT&T Business Global Public Sector business unit, where he was responsible for the strategy, selling, and executing contracts worth over $500M to US Defense Department clients including DISA, US Army, and US Cyber Command. Major contracts include a UCaaS program providing enterprise-wide, cloud-based collaboration services to 1,000,000 unclassified and classified users globally.
Prior to serving public sector clients, David held numerous leadership roles in AT&T Bell Labs and AT&T Labs managing teams of planners, engineers and subject matter experts to develop, deploy, and manage technology innovations that reduced business process cycle time, lowered unit costs and enhanced operations productivity. Many of his team’s projects received internal and external recognition, including one being selected by CIO Magazine as the winner for Enterprise Value Awards in the category High Tech, Telecom and Utilities.
David received his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Master of Science in Communication and Information Sciences from Ball State University.
