Tyto Athene, LLC. Raises Over $60,000 for the Fischer House Foundation During 14th Annual Golf Tournament

HERNDON, Va.-Tyto Athene, LLC, a federal systems integrator headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, hosted their 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and announced today that they have raised over $60,000 for the Fisher House Foundation.

On September 8th, 2022, 115 golfers from around the United States gathered at 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, Virginia to support this year’s event. The charitable donations made by this year’s sponsors, golfers, and event attendees have made this year’s tournament Tyto Athene’s most successful to date.

In collaboration with the local Department of Information Management (DOIM) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Tyto Athene held their first charity golf tournament in 2007 to raise funds for a local Fisher House to be built at Fort Bragg. Since then, the annual tournament is held each year as a symbol of continued support for the Fisher House’s mission and efforts. Including this year’s donation, Tyto Athene has raised over $400,000 for the Fisher House Foundation.

“Our entire company is very passionate and enthusiastic regarding the financial support we have been able to provide year after year,” said Tyto Athene CEO, Chris Meilhammer. “The resources the Fisher House provides are invaluable, and we are excited to be a part of their success story.”

The Fisher House Foundation is a private-public partnership that supports members of the Armed Forces, retirees, veterans, and their families by providing housing for military and veteran families to stay, free of charge, while their loved ones are in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. Additionally, the Fisher House Foundation operates the Hero Miles program, which uses donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members, as well as the Hotels for Heroes program using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses, and children of fallen and disabled veterans.

“We are grateful to Tyto Athene who has been a tremendous supporter of Fisher House Foundation,” said Fisher House Foundation Chairman and CEO, Ken Fisher. “For 14 years, Tyto Athene has hosted an annual golf tournament for the Foundation. This year alone, more than $60,000 was raised which will have a significant impact on military and veteran families.”

About the Fisher House Foundation

The Fisher House is a private-public partnership supporting members of the Armed Forces, retirees, veterans, and their families. This program recognizes the sacrifices of our military by meeting their needs beyond that normally provided by the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Fisher House Foundation donates “comfort homes,” built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers, enabling family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time – during hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. Annually, the Fisher House program serves over 10,000 families and has made nearly 3 million days of lodging available to family members since its inception in 1990. By law, there is no charge for any family to stay at a Fisher House. More information about the Fisher House Foundation may be found at: www.fisherhouse.org

Tyto Athene Completes Acquisition of Qbase

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 5, 2022 – Tyto Athene (“Tyto”), a leading provider of mission-focused digital transformation services to the Federal Government, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Qbase LLC, a pure-play provider of network modernization solutions and IT digital transformation services to high profile customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Security sector, including the FBI, where it supports both mission-focused work and enterprise modernization initiatives.

The acquisition of Qbase further expands Tyto’s valuable customer relationships and deep expertise across the DoD and National Security sector.  Qbase complements Tyto’s core capabilities with extensive expertise in cybersecurity, mobility, and modern network architecture. Tyto is well-positioned to capitalize on its expanding capability and past performance to pursue digital enterprise transformation opportunities and meet the growing demand for network modernization requirements across its existing customer base and across the broader U.S. Government enterprise. The acquisition also provides Tyto incremental contract vehicles, such as DISA Encore III.

“Qbase has 20+ years of experience and past performance with its core DoD customers that it has leveraged to build a portfolio of long-term, prime, unrestricted franchise programs”, said Chris Meilhammer, CEO of Tyto Athene. “These programs provide a secure foundation to our core business and further strengthen our role as a critical partner to these agencies on priority initiatives such as DISA’s Fourth Estate (4E) Enterprise Network Optimization effort and DHA’s enterprise digital transformation program.”

Louis Grever, Senior Vice President of National Security and Civilian at Tyto Athene and Qbase, said, “We are excited to have found a strategic partner in Tyto Athene who will be able to leverage and expand on Qbase’s exceptional capabilities to allow the combined business to deliver even greater value to all its customers.”

Michael Lustbader, a Managing Partner at Arlington, said, “Qbase’s strong customer relationships with demanding customers, such as the FBI, and exceptional past performance make the Company an excellent addition to the Tyto Athene platform. The acquisition will build upon Tyto’s industry-leading network modernization capabilities by adding high-value application development and advanced analytics capabilities.”

Qbase is Tyto Athene’s second major acquisition in the past twelve months. In April 2021, Tyto Athene acquired AT&T Government Solutions, Inc. (“GSI”), which comprised AT&T’s Department of Defense IT professional services business and select other contracts.
