Chris Meilhammer

    At the apex of team Tyto is Chief Executive Officer, Chris Meilhammer. Chris’ dynamic leadership and strategic forward vision is the driving force behind Tyto’s success and is backed by 30 years of direct management and technical experience leading highly trained and diverse teams through the design and sustainment of complex information, security, and telecommunications systems.

    Chris began his career as a United States Marine where he held multiple positions with responsibility for the operations, planning, design, and implementation of base telecommunications infrastructure programs for the Marine Corps. These appointments included Telecommunications Systems Engineering Officer, Deputy Director and Telecommunications Systems Engineering Officer, and Base Telecommunications Infrastructure Program Manager for the Base Telecommunications Infrastructure Program, Marine Corps Systems Command, in Quantico, Virginia. In his last role, Chris managed the Marine Corps’ telecommunications infrastructure globally; leading teams of more than 2,000 personnel supporting assets in excess of $4B worldwide.

    After twenty plus years of honorable service, Chris joined Black Box Government Solutions in 2012. He held various executive roles at Black Box including Chief Architect and Vice President of Sales and Engineering. In 2017, Chris became Black Box’s Vice President and Deputy General Manager, overseeing the daily operations of the Sales, Business Development, Capture, Pricing, Proposal Development, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Engineering teams.

    When Black Box was acquired by Arlington Capital Partners in 2018, Chris was instrumental in the formation of Tyto Athene, becoming Tyto’s first President and Chief Operating Officer. Following Tyto’s acquisition of AT&T Government Solutions Inc. in 2021, Chris was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

    Chris studied Acquisition Management while in Naval Postgraduate School and is Defense Acquisition University Level 3 certified in program management and information technology.
