SVP of Human Resources
With over twenty years of professional and executive experience leading high-performing HR, Recruiting, Finance, Contracts, IT, Security, and Administration teams, Michael McGowan brings his professional passion for leading organizational change, driving efficiency, and motivating people to his role as Tyto Athene’s Vice President of Human Resources.
Michael began his career in human resources at SAIC and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) before joining Deloitte as Federal Talent Leader for Deloitte’s Federal practice. At Deloitte, Michael led HR initiatives for Deloitte’s 7,000 person Federal practice, including the annual compensation review and performance evaluation processes. Michael later held the role of Corporate Vice President and Chief Human Capital Officer for ASI Government, where he oversaw the company’s Human Resources, Recruiting, Resource Management, Security, and Facilities Departments.
Prior to Tyto Athene, Michael held the position of Chief Human Capital Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Operations for ViON Corporation where he managed the federal Government IT contractor’s day-to-day $250M business operation and oversaw the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Contracts, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Pricing, internal IT, Industrial Security, Facilities and Administration Departments.
Over the course of his career, Michael has worked on many mergers and acquisitions including the sale of Qbase to Tyto Athene as well as Deloitte’s acquisition of BearingPoint. Michael received his B.A. from the College of William & Mary and his Master of Science in Business with a focus on Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America. Michael is a certified SHRM-SCP by SHRM.
