Chief Growth Officer
With a background spanning various sectors, Michael Polmar has developed a reputation for his tenacious ability to navigate complex markets and drive organizational growth and success through strategic leadership and innovative business strategies. Michael specializes in identifying new market opportunities and maximizing operational resources in large systems integrators like Tyto Athene. He brings his dynamic and entrepreneurial senior leadership and over 30 years of sales and business development experience to Team Tyto as Chief Growth Officer.
In his most recent roles, Michael served as the Chief Growth Officer at Bart & Associates (B&A)where he played a key role in the recapitalization process of going from a founder-owned company to private equity-backed ownership, and the acquisition of iDoxSolutions, a data analytics/content management service provider. He successfully expanded B&A’s traditional client base into the Department of Justice and Department of Defense markets, resulting in significant revenue growth of over 50% from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, Michael served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Growth Officer at PCI Technology, a federal-focused technology company where he laid the foundation to grow PCI’s Washington Business Office from under $20M to over $50M in just 18 months. In addition, his responsibility included growth activities such as strategy development, marketing, and sales, and cascaded across seven other federal-focused PCI subsidiaries.
Before his roles at B&A and PCI Technology, Michael founded Growth Partners Solutions (GPS), a consulting firm specializing in assisting small to mid-sized companies to achieve their growth objectives. Notably, GPS was later merged with two other consulting firms to form Catapult Growth Partners. At GPS, Michael led various initiatives, including developing a PaaS and SaaS capability that grew profitably and co-leading due diligence for acquiring a $700M defense contractor. Michael’s expertise in strategy development, acquisitions, and operational processes contributed significantly to the firm’s success.
Earlier in his career, Michael held senior leadership positions at Vencore, Inc., ManTech International, Inc., Neohapsis, Inc., Lavell Systems, Inc., SAIC, Inc. and AT&T Government Solutions where he demonstrated consistent success leading capture and business development efforts and implementing change and strategies that promoted growth and increased revenue.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
