Rob Albritton serves as Vice President of AI Innovation at Tyto Athene, where he leads the development of the company’s artificial intelligence strategy and innovation ecosystem.
In this role, Rob leads innovation strategies and builds mission-specific AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate data-to-decision timelines and increase warfighter efficiency. His work helps defense and national security customers achieve greater efficiency, resilience, and mission success through intelligent, automation-based technology solutions. An Air Force veteran, Rob brings deep technical expertise and decades of experience driving advancements in AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing for government and industry.
Before joining Tyto, Rob held key roles as a Scientist at the U.S. Army Geospatial Research Lab, a Machine Learning Engineer at MITRE, and a senior member of NVIDIA’s public sector team, where he worked alongside global leaders in AI and deep learning. Recently, he built and scaled the AI practice at Octo, including the launch of oLabs, the company’s AI innovation lab—later acquired by IBM Consulting in 2022.
Rob holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, a Master’s degree from the National Intelligence University, and a BS in Geographic Information Systems and Geography from the University of Maryland. His contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including the U.S. Army ERDC Award for Achievement in Technology Transfer and the Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
