Carl Tegen

    Carl Tegen’s mettle and leadership has been proven in the field, both abroad and at home. As an Army Signal officer, Carl deployed to Iraq where he led the engineering, deployment, and operation of the Combined Task Force communications network for a multinational operation.

    After his time as a Signal Officer, Carl was assigned to the US Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, NJ, where he served in key system acquisition positions, including Contracting Officer, Chief Engineer for PM MILSTAR (Army) and as the Product Manager for Network management applications at PM WIN-T.

    Prior to joining Tyto Athene, Carl served in several leadership roles at AT&T Public Sector and FirstNet, including VP- Client Executive for the US Army and DISA. He also served in AT&T Labs, managing the development and deployment of the network configuration applications required to run AT&T’s global network.  Carl’s leadership skills were utilized at AT&T Government Solutions where he led software systems support efforts during the World Trade Center disaster which enabled the reopening of the New York Stock Exchange just one week after 9/11.

    As Senior Vice President of Tyto Athene’s Army and Defense Information Systems Agency business unit, Carl’s focus is the acquisition of new business, service delivery, customer satisfaction and business performance.

    Carl earned a Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College at Newport, Rhode Island. Carl also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, New York.
