Vice President of Industrial and Physical Security
Chris Pursell is a seasoned security professional with over 25 years of combined experience in law enforcement and industrial security. As Vice President of Industrial and Physical Security, Chris brings deep expertise in physical security, insider threat programs, investigations, and executive protection.
Chris began his career in Florida as a Correctional Officer Sergeant and a certified law enforcement and corrections academy instructor. Over the years, he has become a trusted expert in managing complex security operations and safeguarding personnel, information, and facilities.
Before joining Tyto Athene, Chris served as Chief Security Officer for Telos Corporation, where he built and led a nationally recognized security program. Under his leadership, Telos earned the prestigious James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), the highest honor for industrial security excellence. He was also named a 2024 “Top Chief Security Officer to Watch” by WashingtonExec and will serve as a 2025 ASIS National Capital Chapter board member.
Chris holds certifications in Insider Threat Program Management, Facility Security Officer (FSO) duties, and correctional officer training. His hands-on leadership and strategic insights continue to strengthen Tyto Athene’s commitment to excellence in security operations.
